After meeting Tyson + Lexie during their engagement session, I was counting down the days to when I got to see them again for their formals. We decided to travel into the mountains and shoot at Tony Grove, and BOY was the drive up there eventful.
As we were driving through Logan Canyon, we came to stand-still traffic. I can count on one hand the times I've seen traffic in this canyon, and I've lived in Logan for my whole life. As we came up to the front of the traffic, we could see a car in the river of the canyon with PEOPLE IN THE CAR. Immediately, Tyson hopped out of his car (in his suit I may add) and was willing to help the other people get these people out of their car. I was in awe at Tyson's willingness to help these people out - even if it meant ruining his suit to do so. Spoiler alert, his suit was just fine.
After the dramatics of driving through the canyon, we made it to our destination - only for it to begin to pour rain. We collectively decided we would drive up the next morning to do a sunrise shoot to avoid the rain, and I'm so glad we did!
I hadn't ever done a sunrise shoot at Tony Grove before, and it was absolutely stunning in the morning. It was calmer, the lighting was perfect, and it was only us three on the mountain. It felt like such an intimate session with these two lovers, and I'll never forget the way it felt. These two are absolutely perfect for each other, and I feel absolutely spoiled that they picked me to be their photographer.
I'm stoked to share their session with you! The pictures are breathtaking.
Meet Tyson + Lexie!
