Family sessions are quickly becoming some of my favorite sessions to shoot, all thanks to families like the Priestley’s.
I’m so glad I have had the chance to meet and get to know this family over the course of the past 6ish months. I originally met the Priestley family during basketball season. One of their daughters plays basketball for Preston High School, and it just so happens that I help coach. Shaylee and I quickly bonded during the season. She’s like the little sister I never had!
The Priestley family are some of the most kind people I know, and I was so honored they chose me to take their photos. After all, their oldest daughter, Olivia, leaves on her mission any day now! As always with family sessions, I had a blast during their shoot. There’s something special about documenting a family during a time in their lives. It’s almost like I get to be a part of the fam for one night. I love it!
For their session, we decided to take a journey up Cub River in Preston, Idaho. These mountains definitely did not disappoint. Have I ever mentioned I am a sucker for pine trees and anything mountainy? Anywho, we had a lot of fun during the time we spent together, and I think that the guys may have even had a good time too. Although, they would probably never admit to it. As our session came to a close, I got a little bit sad. But then I remembered I would be seeing a lot more of them since Shaylee still has one more year left of high school. They can’t get rid of me just yet!
Meet the amazing Priestley family.
