Let me ask you this... What is the best way to spend your NYE? If you answered in the mountains with some of your favorite people, then you answered correctly. That's exactly what I did this NYE, and it was everything I could have hoped for.
I've been taking pictures for the Knowles sisters + their family for what feels like forever. I absolutely love this fam, and I cherish the relationship I've built with them over the last 5ish years. These three sisters remind me of me and my sister. They're all so different, but yet so alike. They're all so deeply kind to their core, and their fun energy is contagious when you're around them. I jokingly say that I'm the honorary fourth Knowles sister, because I love them so much.
For our NYE shoot we journeyed up into the gorgeous snow covered mountains. I was prepared for it to be cold, but HOLY CRAP this was one of my coldest shoots this winter. Thankfully, there was zero wind, so we had that going for us. You wouldn't know they were freezing their butts off in the pictures, but seriously, if it wasn't for my gloves my hands would have had a serious case of frostbite.
On our way home, we decided to pull off the road and get a few shots in the road. Naturally, they took turns sitting in the car (remember it's freeeeeezing cold). Wellll we get back into Janessa's car to find out the battery had died. We were stuck in the middle of the mountain, with no service, and a dead car battery. I immediately jumped out of the car to flag down the next car that passed by. Shoutout to the guy who stopped and jumped our car. He was the real MVP of this shoot.
I always love my photoshoots with these three, because it's an excuse to hang out and catch up with them. I worked with Janessa for four years after I graduated high school, and I would consider her one of my closest friends to this day! It's ALWAYS a good time with the Knowles sisters, and I already cannot wait for my next shoot with them.
Here's my killer winter shoot with Janessa, Brinley, + Kambree.
