Ahh, where to begin with this gorgeous couple. Grady + Kyra have been dating for ages, so when I heard they were finally tying the knot I was so excited. I'm related to Grady, so I've known these two for quite some time. When they asked me to document their wedding and the events leading up to it, I was PUMPED. They're getting married at Red Fish Lake this summer, and I'm positive it will be a gorgeous day filled with so much love + laughter. They share a lot of the same interests as me and my husband, they love hunting for example. BUT I will say they are way more bad A than me and my husband.
Driving to our meeting spot for their engagements, the sky looked meeeeean. It was super grey, I could hear the brisk wind blowing with a vengeance outside my car, and I was driving in and out of rain storms. We were all terrified that we would be rained out, and that my trip to them would be worthless. I was determined to look on the bright side of things (literally) and tell myself that there would be no rain during our session. Welll, I was right about the rain, but the wind wouldn't die down. Don't get me wrong, a little bit of wind makes the pictures magical. This wind, though, was borderline a tornado.
The wind wouldn't ruin our vibe, so we kept on shooting through it. I'm so glad that we fought through the wind, because I was so happy with how the pictures turned out.
Even though they've been together for such a long time, they still are as in love as ever. THAT'S HOW YOU KNOW IT'S REAL. They were so easy to photograph, and I had a blast with these two. Kyra is such a sweet soul, and Grady treats her like a queen. Watching them interact made my heart happy. I'm counting down the days until their wedding. I can't wait for these two to be husband and wife!
Meet Grady + Kyra.
